Maritime Transport and Safety for the Atlantic Area was presented as one of the main point of the Atlantic inter-regional co-operation action for the development of the Atlantic area, reflected in the Summary for Atlantic Spatial Development Perspective (ASDP) project, under Interreg IIC programme, presented on 27th of June in Lisbon.

EROCIPS project was mentioned as one of the projects that represents the first step toward the coordination of actions from local and regional authorities in the event of an accident; it does not replace the actions taken by central governments who have greater skills at their disposal for dealing with accidents of this type at sea, but rather is complementary to these actions.
